Message Sometime people get so hung up on horsepower that you lose sight of just having fun driving a car.

A lot of times, simpler is better. As an NA driver, you learn to appreciate the 'finer points' of driving...basically other things than mind-blowing acceleration.

I think constantly running n20 would be a pain, and probably not too good for the engine. Plus, for some reason I always think of NOS as kind of 'cheating'...I guess I'm prejudiced.

To me, the best setup for normal driving would be: NA body and rear diff, TT motor with upgraded lighter internals, custom-tuned ECU, Sport 500 or smiliar turbos, water injection, and preferably the new 9.2:1 compression forged pistons, and Greg Dupree exhaust manifolds (of course DP's, exhaust , the obvious, etc...)

Not consicidentally, this is what I'm planning to do with my car.

The higher compression makes the engine more responsive, gives it a better low-end, and enables quicker spoolup. Due to the design of the 9.2:1 pistons, you can run just as much boost as you would on 8.5:1, and even produce a little more power. The water injection could also potentially help spoolup and overall power, while hopefully being not too much of a hassle (this remains to be seen). To me this would negate having to use nitrous. You could have a 400+rwhp car with stock spoolup (or better), and very little to worry about. Do you really need more than 400 rwhp anyways? Thats closer to 500 flywheel hp...about as much as a viper.

Coupled with suspension/braking mods, that car would be the shiznit.

And you don't even have to worry about where to put that gay "NOS" can =)
